An electro-luminescent panel causes the entire face to glow for easy reading. Auto Light automatically turns on the EL backlight
EL Backlight (with Auto Light) : An electro-luminescent panel causes the entire face to glow for easy reading. Auto Light automatically turns on the EL backlight when the watch is tilted towards your face for reading.
World Time 48 : Displays the current time in major cities and specific areas around the world. R : Current time in major cities around the world. 48 : Values indicate number of cities/areas.
Moon Data (with Moon age indicator) : Displays approximate Moon phase based on date and time differentials. AGE = Moon age indicator (Moon age error : with in + 1 day)
Tide Graph : Graphically displays tides based on lunar periodicity and lunitidal interval time.
Stopwatch – 1/100 sec – 1000 HR : Accurate measurement of elapsed time with the touch of a button. 1/100 : The fraction indicates the unit of measurement. 1000 HR : The time figure indicates the maximum time measurement for Stop Watch.
Timer – 24 hour - Repeat : Counts down from a start time specified by you. The valueindicates the number of timers available. 24 H : The time figure indicates the maximum starting time. "REPEAT" indicates Auto Repeat, which automatically restarts timing at the end of each countdown.
Multi-function Alarm, Hourly Time Signal (5) : Multi-function Alarms can be configured to sound on a particular date, a particular day of the week, or at the same time each day. The number 5 indicates the number of Alarms. The hourly time signal causes the watch to beep every hour on the hour.
Snooze Feature : Each time you stop the alarm, it sounds again after a few minutes.
Full Auto Calendar : Allowances are made automatically for months of different lengths, including leap year.
12/24-hour Timekeeping : Times can be displayed in either 12-hour or 24-hour format.
Operation Tone On / Off : The tone that sounds to signal a mode change or other operation can be turned on and off.
Low Temperature Resistant : The time-keeping module is designed for operations at very low temperatures. The value indicates the lowest temperature at which the module will operate. * Does not apply to directional sensor.
Shock Resistant : Shock resistant construction protects against impact and vibration.
Water Resistant : 200 m : The "BAR" value indicates the number of atmospheres to which water resistance is ensured. 20 BAR means water resistance to 20 atmospheres. Wearable around sinks, during swimming, poolside diving and scuba diving at depths not requiring helium gas.
Mineral Glass : Hard glass resists scratching.

Water Resistant Tested : The unique G-SHOCK design also provides it with the ability to withstand the rigors of water resistance testing up to 20 atmospheres, which is equivalent to 200 meters. This means unequalled toughness, even under water.
Drop Tested : The drop test is performed manually by actually dropping watches. A test machine cannot be used for such a test, because there is no way to control or reproduce all of the countless variables involved when an object falls.
Vibration Tested : The cushioning system of the watch also provide outstanding resistance to vibration. In the past, vibration resistance was tested by fixing the watch to the axle of a motorcycle. Today, a special test machine is used to subject the watch to vibration for 24 hours to check its ability to withstand such treatment.
