Zune Vs iPod...story unfolded

Microsoft's new venture, Zune, is a sure-fire for Apple's iPod. Planned to be launched this month, Zune has already become a big threat to the music kaiser iPod. If iPod has a delicate body then Zune comes in a unique brown color. iPod is now called a cool gadget, if its music then its always an iPod. Though it would take long for Zune to change the mindset and establish itself but the truth is, iPod is a market leader in music players.
iPod has already become a name for maximum music storage. Its sleek body and features have made it a must have for all geeks and gadget lovers. And if you are getting all these and iTunes, then what else you could have asked for? But, with the advent of the Zune, it seems iPod has to look more deeply towards upgrading its models. iPod has hundreds of accessories and has car manufacturers who make their cars “iPod compatible.” Zune, on the other hand, integrates into Xbox and Media Centre.

iPod has set such a high bar in the market which make electronic gadget users speculative about Zune. In a fundamental comparison, both Zune and iPod are music players, but it's notable that, iPod is already an establish product and to go ahead of it, Zune has to give tremendous features to the customer. Zune hasn't shown up any killer feature yet, which can make it a real winner in the market. Though it has an excellent updateability( hail to Microsoft) and integration.
The Zune's only original feature is Wi-Fi song sharing, which allow Zune owners to search for others nearby and temporarily trade songs over the air. Traded tunes will be playable up to three times over three days, and can be flagged on the player for later purchase online. Otherwise they disappear. The Zune will definitely have an impact. That's guaranteed by Microsoft clout, and is why music labels, movie studios and accessory makers are jumping on the Zune bandwagon.

Whether it's Zune or iPod, music lovers need storage and clarity for their favorite tracks. iPod now gives you excellent storage and features, and it is really difficult for Zune to beat iPod. But Zune is Microsoft's brain child so how can we forget the battle between Macintosh and Windows, where the former was a market leader and Windows ended up with more market share. But it's going to take a long time for Zune to repeat the history, till then, enjoy the ubiquitous iPod.
